ABOUT
NIKA is a classical artist whose work bridges Old Master techniques, symbolism, and magical realism to illuminate contemporary themes. Emerging from a rich intersection of geographies, disciplines, and heritage, her painting transforms historical tradition into a vital, living dialogue.
Her artistic foundation was laid early at the Hermitage Museum, where she studied art history shaped by the influence of her mother, an art historian, and her father, a historical architect. She went on to broaden her practice internationally—earning a BFA from the California College of Arts & Crafts (CCAC), undertaking intensive self-directed research into old master techniques across New York and Washington, D.C., and completing her MFA at the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK).
Across her body of work, NIKA pairs masterly technical command with an aesthetic inquiry rooted in classicism and a curiosity for experimental techniques. Held in private collections worldwide, her artwork has been exhibited in cultural capitals including Venice, Osaka, St. Petersburg, Washington, D.C., and Berlin, as well as major institutions such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) and the de Young Museum.
